The founding principles of the Foundation of St. Gemma Galgani consider education fundamental, not only to eradicate poverty, but also as a decisive means for keeping young Catholics actively participating in the Church and by educating practicing Catholics to be better disciples in their families, parishes and communities. The Foundation of St. Gemma Galgani was established to offer Undergraduate Interest-free Loans and Scholarships to desiring Catholic youth who wish to further their education. The Foundation of St. Gemma Galgani aims to strengthen young Catholics through the promotion of Catholic virtues and service to the Church through its educational financial assistance programs of “Investing In Our Catholic Youth”.
Our Board Members and volunteers are parishioners at St. John Neumann, St. Martin of Tours, St. Francis of Assisi and St. Mary’s of Sorrow (Catholic Diocese of Arlington). As a small non-profit public foundation, we are totally dependent on individual and corporate donations to fund our Programs. Therefore, our Board of Directors and volunteers cover all operational overhead costs (advertising, banking fees, mailing, web site, paper consumables, etc.), so that 100% of all received donations are applied directly to our Undergraduate Interest-free Student Loan and Scholarship Programs.
